the triple team threat Jun 28, 26

It's that time of year again!

Last year, I participated in my first ever Art Fight. An event dedicated to drawing another person's original characters on an opposing team, or someone on your own if you'd like. I had a lot of fun, so it would make some sense to try again this year.

Both early sign ups and the reveal of this year's theme occurred on June 14 (when I began writing this blog post) and interestingly they really decided to change things up: Three teams! All previous years involved two different teams, and I guess this year they decided to toss another one into the mix. (per the reveal announcement, it's being done in celebration of their 10th anniversary. Kudos to them.)

I guess that was quite an ‘art fight’, wasn't it? In the last post, I announced participating in this year's Art Fight tournament. Now that July's over, was it as fun as I had hoped? For me, certainly.

When I had started, I was hoping to get at least 13 of these done, though due to some other creative projects I was participating in by that time I was only able to get 9 done in total. Either way, I'll gladly take it over the larger number.

Art Fight 2025 has concluded at 6:00 PM UTC on August 1, 2025. See you next year! (maybe)

Hi, here's another quick update for the pile. This one will be fairly quick as there haven't been any major updates as of recent, apart from squashing some bugs and adding content to the site.

First, I have decided to give this thing called Art Fight a shot.

If you're clueless, Art Fight is a annual online game/event where people on two different teams (or sometimes on the same team) “attack” each other with art of their original characters. There's much more to it, but that's what it mostly boils down to.
