single blog entry

blocks and then some May 25, 25

This is something that I've been meaning to get around to doing for a long while, but just haven't had the proper time. It's been a while since I bothered to write anything for the website. Besides for usual laziness, I've been spending time on college and other projects, including one that's been six months in the making.

Anyway, When advertising my vast portfolio of work, most of the works shown when promoting the FrixCraft section doesn't entirely reflect what was available on the site. In simpler terms: the FrixCraft page hasn't been updated in quite a while.

Previously, I had created a Twitter Collection for all of the Minecraft builds I've previously shared to the platform and linked to it in the gallery. At the time, it was the only way to view the builds that I haven't gotten around to putting onto the website.

A few months after the page was introduced, the link stopped functioning, alongside all other Twitter Collection links, presumably as TweetDeck (the only way Collections could be created) had been made exclusive to Premium subscribers around August 2023, despite said collection still being somewhat accessible after the pivot.

Since then, I've removed the link and reworded the footnote at the bottom of the page until I got around to adding everything else.

Now, you don't need to wait anymore.

This past week has finally given me the opportunity to go back in and list some of the works to further build my available portfolio of work. After some trial and error, the page and its contents should now be up-to-date.

Earlier in the year, I had also made some neat renders of those builds using Chunky (and some compositing work done in Photoshop), alongside an additional few from the 22nd to the 23rd of this month. For each one that was completed, I updated the thumbnails for those works to use that as the thumbnail and primary image.

As a sidenote, don't expect every single work logged to get the same treatment. I'm fine with keeping some of them as in-game screenshots as opposed to more complex renders.

Additionally, I also updated the contents of the About page to elaborate on details about the works currently available in the gallery and in general. The works themselves also have some additional details I never got around to adding until now.

There's still a few builds missing from the site, however I plan on getting around to adding those in the future. For now, I think 50 total logged builds are good enough.

Now, for anything new, I haven't gotten around to completing any builds since the one in January. However, there are plans for more to come in the future. Stay tuned.

Anyway, other than a few other minor changes throughout the site, That's about it for this one. Later.
